Mar 18, 2012 - Not that hard to say. What part is difficult? The "ð" I transliterated as "zh" to make sure it gets voiced. It's the same as the "th" in "them" but *not* the th in "thin" (that is Þ/þ in Icelandic). If you can't tell the difference, say "them" with the th loud and dragged out and your finger touching your voicebox, and then do the same for "thin". Ð/ð/the th in "them" is a "voiced" th (your voicebox is involved), while Þ/þ/the th in "thin" is a unvoiced th.

Mar 18, 2012 - Also, the "g" is a hard "g" here, almost a "k", so I just went ahead and transliterated it as a "k". The "a" in góðan I transliterated as "o"; it's roughly the same "o" as in the word "dot".The capital letters mean stress. Icelandic always has a strong stress on the first syllable -- roughly twice as long as the other syllables in each word/element of a compound word.

KarenRei Says:

Mar 19, 2012 - Your English is just fine. :) The only mistake I think would give away that you're not a native speaker is "don't you" instead of "aren't you".

Mar 19, 2012 - ohh ya ya that's my badso, you are the fans of sigurros?

KarenRei Says:

Mar 19, 2012 - Of course I'm a fan of Sigur Rós. It was Heima that got me to start learning Icelandic and took me to Iceland for the first time, which made me totally fall in love with the place and start searching for jobs. :)

Apr 8, 2012 - Such an incredibly beautiful song by an amazing band. I love Sigur Rós. This is prob my fave song off the album. If you like this song, I would also recommend Fragile Bones (Feels Like Home) by Ali Murray, or anything by Ali Murray for that matter. I love sad and dreamy and beautiful atmospheres.
