Apr 20, 2012 - Just awesome... but here's one thing that I don't get, how did music like this music get replaced by today's crap? Well, "Lenny" is still one of my absolute favorites by SRV.

May 9, 2012 - Actually, you are both wrong. "Lenny" was the cream/yellow guitar he used that had no lettering on it of his initials. You can see that guitar many times thru his career but it was on that guitar he did his studio recording of the song. The guitar was a late 60's Fender Strat just like one that Eric Clapton used while playing with Derek & The Dominos. I believe that it is on that guitar Eric used for the song "Layla". ALL of SRV's guitars had microphones in the pickups eventually.

May 13, 2012 - Do some research man before you comment. He is indeed playing Lenny in this rendition of "Lenny". The "cream/yellow" guitar you referred to as Lenny in your post is actually called "Scotch." He acquired "Scotch" in the fall of 1985, and it is said to have been bought in either Baltimore or "The Boathouse" in Norfolk, Virginia.
