Nov 30, 2011 - hi if you have time to answer my question it would be really helpful so my question is that i don't know how to take percentages for example ''Decrease $5 by 15%''and i have no clue how to do it and i can't understand the way my math teacher explains so if you have time it would be very nice thanks continue making great and simple videos thanks :)

Dec 5, 2011 - idk if this answer is still valid (since its been 5 days ago) anyways you can solve that problem by first taking 15% of $5 . Basically how much is 15% in $5. Convert 15% to decimal which is .15 then multiply it by $5. The answer will give you 0.75 dollars the 15% of $5. Minus/decrease $5 by $0.75 and you will get the answer u r looking for. $4.25

Apr 23, 2012 - for question in 8:14 you could also divide 3/9, which equals to 0.3333 then multiply 0.33333 to hundred=33.33333. You can check it by multiply 33.3333333 by 0.09

May 23, 2012 - Another way to solve the problem: 4 is 20% of which number?5 multiplyed by 20%=100%5 multiplyed by 4=20!So 4 is 20% of mystery number:20!

SergiyMichael Says:

May 25, 2012 - Shame he doesnt explain the physical meaning behind the math operations, otherwise it is just an abstract operations and memory puzzles, which they are not..! And then he could proceed to explaining what 1% is, and how much is 15 times that to find 15%, and only then the shortcut in finding .15 fraction..
