Apr 26, 2012 - Unfortunately, his statement "if I am more compassionate, I will get more benefit, more happier etc.. etc.." is very generalized and relative to a particular situation...The 1 million dollar statement is mostly true... most people would blow 1m on bullshit.. versus the "right" thing to do which would be investments and philanthropy... Inner peace is the ultimate source of happiness - is true (however relative), if you believe that you always do the "right" thing you will have inner peace.

May 7, 2012 - We all call god by a different name, Buddha, God, Allah.. all he wants is for us to love each other, and yet here we are bashing each other on a youtube video because we don't share identical beliefs..... now you see why their are so many atheists, because we do not wish to be a part of the hatred that religion breeds towards our fellow man. May 11, 2012 - Hi - I'm a politics student/Buddhist/Libertarian-leaning (technically) member of the Republican Party. There's a difference in believing that everybody has a right to earn money and being attached to the idea of money. Personally, the alternative (to me) seems that the Government could control/distribute money which leaves them with too much power and would result in authoritarianism. It's an unfortunate condition we've created, but currency exists. We have to accept that and work for the best.

May 21, 2012 - I'm confused? Buddhism is about the teachings of Buddha. Pali Canon wasn't written by Buddha. Very few scholars believe this scripture was the words of Buddha. Some Buddhist teachers might make reference to God, but it is usually used as a metaphor like "god is a life force" or "God is all of existance". Buddhist do not believe in a God, or many different Gods.
