Description:
The facebook subscribe button: What is facebook up to with their new subscribe button feature? http://How2Guy.comThe facebook subscribe button is a real game changer in the Social Media playing field. Basically, Facebook is mimicking the functionality of Twitter by allowing others who are NOT your facebook friends, to subscribe or 'follow' you .This will give these subscribers the ability to see your status updates without having to become your friend on facebook. This is HUGE!The new facebook subscribe button actually serves few different purposes: 1. The subscribe feature puts you in the driver seat and by giving you more and better control of your facebook news feed and actually allows you to customize what will show up in your feed.2. Lets you follow and get status updates of other people who are NOT your facebook friends. So basically you can now stalk those so called famous people who never accepted your friend request. 3. Gives you an option to add a subscribe button and share all or some of your facebook status updates for people who are NOT your friends. So lets talk about how this all works.First thing you'll notice is that if you go over to someone who is your friend...that you are now also already subscribed to them. But here is where it gets really cool! When you click on the subscribe button, you'll now see a drop down box which allows me to choose what I want to see and how often, and the type of updates I like to receiveNow second feature of the facebook subscribe button is that I can now subscribe to someone that is NOT my friend on facebook. Now last thing I want to talk about is whether or not you turn on your facebook subscribe button and what's involved in doing so.When you head over to your facebook profile. Look for an option to allow subscribers to your facebook profile. The thing you want to look at here is the settings. This will allow you to control who can subscribe and what they can do.Here are some more links to find out more about the faceboook subscribe button:Visit the facebook queen: http://how2guy.com/gojohttps://www.facebook.com/about/subscribehttps://www.facebook.com/publicfigureshttps://blog.facebook.com/blog.php?post=10150280039742131https://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=246210718757459Please comment below. You can ask your web-related questions over at:http://How2Guy.com

Oct 6, 2011 - Great video, Thanks for the upload. I am tired of all the changes and I just want to protect my privacy. I don't plan on using it. Why have people as friends and unsubscribe from them. If you don't want to hear from them or even want to talk to them on the street if you see them. Why do you have them as friends. I have 170 friends and i feel like it is too many. I really dont understand the people that have 500 plus friends

Dec 24, 2011 - As a author, I personally love the subscribtion. We had to delete over 2,000 friends and turn down over 4,000 since my personal page can only hold 5,000.With this subscribtion I can have unlimited of people who will be interested in my work. So, yes I love it. We now plan to delete over 80% that are on my friend list so that they can jusr subscribe.

Apr 4, 2012 - Rafaella,You will not see the 'subscribe' button your page. Go to someone else's page and you should see their subscribe button. This is what OTHER people will see. Let me know if that is clear or am I missing something? Thanks
