May 10, 2012 - doubtful. i have heard to a lot of bands, due to my ripe age. none of the earlier 'rock legends' could compare with muse in their melodic/musical/harmonic/symphonic prowess and the depth of their songs and their impact. most of the early rock'n roll history is just 'rebellion'. you will find a lot of throat-gurgling, and rebel themes in songs, but with less impact. its more that they have gone vintage due to being older. muse, is totally futuristic in the impact and quality of their music.
