Joanchovyy Says:

May 21, 2012 - i clicked on this wondering what the myth was.... who the fuck ever thought about putting a bov on a non turbo car is a moron... and why is moog so stoned at 8:35 hahahah

Dudelikey0 Says:

May 21, 2012 - You didn't let me get there... >.>

Ares4991 Says:

May 22, 2012 - Leave it to the ozzy's to build a bicycle with a blowoff valve...

AJYourMad92 Says:

May 22, 2012 - i remember when i thought the super high pressure queef sound was cool

the1bigace Says:

May 23, 2012 - I would really like to mention, that even though the BOV's vented either to atmosphere or to a re-circulatory system, they may not have yeilded any final Power Gains but, on a racetrack, would one provide better throttle response and Lap time? Because as the gentlemen mentioned in the video, a BOV that's setup right will hold pressure to allow less LAG

PoGoNugen Says:

May 23, 2012 - did they make any ecu changes -- going from a recirculating valve to a fully vented valve isn't something you can do easily....

SSCamaroMan345 Says:

May 23, 2012 - Blow off valve huh, why? Diesels don't run blow off valve's yet their turbo's last longer than the truck itself... A turbo set up doesn't require a blow off valve, you can run a internal wastegate or an external wastegate. You can even tie your internal wastegate shut and let all the boost go to the motor the whole time, the turbo will take the back pressure.

seblopper1 Says:

May 24, 2012 - but im sure that reduces the spool up time cause the turbo has to rewing and then wind , and most diesel engines come stock with some system to bleed air , ie VNT or as you say wastegate , those are both the same thing as a blow off valve , it does the same thing by bleeding unwanted air once the turbo has finished spooling up !! unless im wrong

schtekar Says:

May 24, 2012 - only stoners can get the brilliant idea about mounting bov on a bike haha

VRforged Says:

May 24, 2012 - Although Trucks DO come with some sort of bov aswell as maany petrol turbo cars so there for they MUST serve some purpose otherwise you could argue you shouldnt have one as its unnecessary bits of steel and a few more grams of weight to a car.

bdysntchr7 Says:

May 24, 2012 - Will a blow off valve make your car faster?-No but if it is recirculated back into the turbo inlet, it can help maintain boost between gear changes Can you install one on a non-turbo car?-blow off valves have virtually no effect on naturally aspirated engines. How do they work?-its also known as a pressure release valve which is pretty self explanitory. It allows for the un-used boost pressure to escape when you release the throttle.the youtube expert has spoken!

sponsoredcrx Says:

May 25, 2012 - Why is that GTI making so little power? Dont they come with 180hp stock? Im sure 180hp is what it makes to the crank from the factory but with a tune and other goodies it should at least be making that to the wheels.

kpgpwi64 Says:

May 26, 2012 - kilowatts aren't the same as horsepower 106 kilowatts is about 142 HP

CanadaBud23 Says:

May 26, 2012 - Yes, it won't make the car more powerful but it will make it essentially faster on a track based on time. More power at the right time more of the time. Making it quicker.

freeridedominator Says:

May 26, 2012 - vr6 12v does 175 hp, not the gti 1.8t

northcountysteeze Says:

May 26, 2012 - GTI's divert, if your run a BOV on a 1.8t your gonna get a CEL and the car will run like ish.

UrbanArtifact Says:

May 27, 2012 - And everyone said I was crazy to put a bov on my bike... Lol jk I didn't

n325aej Says:

May 27, 2012 - Blow off valve... My arse

YeTenuousUmbrae Says:

May 28, 2012 - i'm building a turbo s13 from an N/A s13 silvia.got: 2 redtop sr20det engines, 2 t25 turbos, a wiring loom and ecu. -need: fmic kit, bov, external wastegate and maybe some bits and peices (pipes/fittings etc). -i should make a video about it actually ;p

eunoscosmo13b Says:

May 29, 2012 - 1KW+ gain, better then nothing.

FlippOut44 Says:

May 29, 2012 - i agree, blow off valves are gay as fuck
