Nov 1, 2010 - 6:02it looks very fake. But why would they do that?
baalsrud Says:
Nov 18, 2010 - Yes, very much faked. The image looks like a frame was cut out and pasted falling. Stupid pointless ending poorly executed. Great video otherwise.

Nov 29, 2010 - fake fall
HotAches Says:
Nov 29, 2010 - Yea of course it's faked... the director felt that it was needed to finish the film off... the idea was that when folk see it for the first time they think "ah what just happened?" . Important to point out that Dave MacLeod did take that fall when he lead it 'For Real' but when we shot this reconstruction he wasn't up for another fall like that!Almost all the climbing in our films is for real and not reconstructions, this is an exception. Diff.

May 8, 2011 - Guess you've heard it, but I think it's great that you confess to faking it and go on to explain why. Thumbs up for honesty. Can't ever get enough of it.

Nov 25, 2011 - the special effect editor could work this up a bit more though.

Jul 1, 2010 - Was the fall fake?No really, was it? The only thing that came off was the right hand and there was no reflex on the legs at all. Also it looked little fake as there was no shot of him dangling below the cameraman.
