I managed to catch up with Jamie Lidell and Mr Jimmy while they were both in London and this is what we done..Lidell is known for layering tracks made with his voice into a microphone and performing the percussion and melody as a sequenced, beatboxing one-man band. Then over his augmented voices, he sings soul-inspired songs.

Apr 17, 2012 - I guess it`s just a MIDI keyboard/controller, and I guess Mr Jimmy is known for his self-programmed FM8(a vst synth made by Native Instruments) patches so he might be playing that.. Or something else. That gangsta whine sound is pretty basic so he might be playing any software synthesizer with the "right capabilities". :)
