Apr 17, 2012 - shutup you sarcastic little mush, someone in the comments had said that its not 1000 feet per second coz thatd be ridiculously fast... i was un-confusing the guy.. so next time you want to be a clever little keyboard warrior, just dont bother making a fool out of yourself....

Apr 26, 2012 - i just started getting into motogp. could anyone explain why the riders put their knees down? besides to look bad ass of course.
runmvp Says:
Apr 27, 2012 - to take the corners at high speeds. you cant go through a corner without leaning. its physics, bud
davidbaek92 Says:
Apr 27, 2012 - i understand that, i'm an engineering major bud. but what's the point of getting specifically the knee down? i'm sure you can lean fine by having your knee close to the bike.
runmvp Says:
Apr 28, 2012 - well, I'm not an engineer. but for what I know its for balance. I know you can corner without putting the knee down but it could be dangerous and can result in a crash beacuse the position on the bike is wrong. Taking corners with the knee down is much faster than normal leaning. Just my opinion as a rider. You'll understand more when you take a corner at highspeed. hope I helped you bud.
sprocketRacer Says:
Apr 29, 2012 - pushing your weight off the side of the bike lets you keep the bike more upright through the corner = greater contact patch on the ground = more grip = faster :) also gives an idea of how far the limit is and find it quicker...'ok just crank it over till my knee hits the ground and thats it'
roalme00 Says:
May 2, 2012 - it actually means 1000 fucks per second when Casey is riding his bike
roalme00 Says:
May 2, 2012 - if you are an engineering major and dont know about how centre of gravity will shift for better through rider movement on a bike then I think you wasted your engineering "majorly"
roalme00 Says:
May 2, 2012 - just kidding. but sprocketRacer gave u the answer. Have a blast watching MotoGP races...its gonna be a epic this year
MetalTillIDie461 Says:
May 12, 2012 - Knee down was originally done so the riders would know the grip limit of the bike, also it helps with stability as it gives the bike a third point of contact with the floor (front wheel, back wheel, knee)

brendon2k Says:
May 24, 2012 - This is just wrong. Putting the knee down is just done for a reference on how far the bike is banked over. After initially putting the knee down, most racers lift up their leg slightly so their knee isn't even touching the ground through the turn. It has nothing to do with balance. Centripetal force is pushing you toward the bike. Your knee is not needed to keep you stable on the bike.

Apr 15, 2012 - odd, when I lean that far over, I just keep going. But I figure the closer I am to the ground, the less I have to fall...Florida NO Helmet law...creating more salvage parts every year!
