Jul 9, 2011 - @JulianPaulCarter Well, it's true that Charles Nichols was no Bob Clampett---or even Jack Hannah---but I've always enjoyed his films for what they are. They're funny in pleasant, leisurely way. I agree about this particular film being rather dull though, though honestly part of it is that boring Mickey design they were using in the early 50s. It's amazing to me that it took until the early '90s for Disney to finally say "Hey, you know what? Maybe he DID look better without those eyebrows."
