Apr 29, 2012 - Ugh. Her comment about coloring the prime numbers in Pascal's triangle got me excited, so I wrote a program to do it. Turns out the prime numbers will only be along the two rows just inside the triangle's sides because the inner numbers will be sums of primes. Any sum of primes will be the sum of two odd numbers (except 2, but we ignore that), and the sum of two odds is an even, which can't be prime (gtfo, 2). So you just get the normal linear pattern of primes along the two edges.
