Jan 31, 2012 - Plus.... Doesnt the Immediate freezing of extremely hot lava create something >.>

Mar 30, 2012 - What's that at the end??

Michaeliol Says:

Apr 10, 2012 - The Thermite's so powerful, it even warps the video @1:11

GrashFilms Says:

Apr 20, 2012 - But now I wanna know about that autopsy...

PxKinRea Says:

Apr 21, 2012 - It needs more liquid nitrogen!

JMP411410720 Says:

Apr 25, 2012 - take a dump on burning thermite and watch what happens!!!!!

Jex134 Says:

May 11, 2012 - Yes, until there's a spark, which ignites the thermite, causing it to melt through your blender, table, floor, and your foundation.

Jex134 Says:

May 11, 2012 - Its even less of an affect. Because thermite has its own oxidizer included in the recipe, it can burn under water, in a cloud of pure CO2, in the vacuum of space---basically anywhere..Once this reaction starts, you quite simply can't stop it. You can get out of its way, and you can put stuff in its way to help minimize damage, but you simply cannot stop the reaction itself. Period.

Jex134 Says:

May 11, 2012 - Yes, it creates volcanic ash. However thermite isn't lava, although it looks similar. Lava is a broad spectrum mixture of basically everything in the Earth's crust and mantle---thermite is equal parts iron oxide and aluminum oxide..I think you're mistaking instant-freezing something hot, with instant-vaporizing a boiling liquid in a cold environment, or instant-vaporizing ice with no liquid stage in between. Both of which are novel and interesting affects.

Jex134 Says:

May 11, 2012 - You can't freeze lava with anything----stone doesn't freeze, it melts, and it solidifies once cooled..However you COULD very easily cool down lava with liquid nitrogen (or any other super cold fluid of your choice) solidifying lava. The reason you can't extinguish Thermite with liquid nitrogen, or any other fluid for that matter, is because it has its own oxidizer. For that reason it can remain burning in just about ANY environment, but only once its started. It can be hard to ignite.

demnlordd666 Says:

May 11, 2012 - ya but your argument has no basis. I was talking about MORE cold stuff, i.e liquid nitrogen. not this one sided battle, I wanna see even odds here. *my point* you are simply saying it has a build in oxidizer, which is well know. its a redox reaction(reduction/oxidation). how does THAT make it less effective at impressing me and every one else here? how does that impede showering sparks of cold and hot battling?though the space idea would be cool, just one big expanding fireball in 0g :)

demnlordd666 Says:

May 11, 2012 - solidification IS freezing for stone. the temperature at which it takes on an amorphous or crystalline solid structure. EVERY substance freezes to a solid, melts to liquid and eventually vaporizes. unless it is one of those tricky ones that sublimates straight from a solid to a gas like CO2 @ STP. but under pressure CO2 maintains a liquid profile. there my be a few exotic exceptions I don't know or cant remember, I admit that.

demnlordd666 Says:

May 11, 2012 - man, for the love of knowledge, read. thermite is (commonly) Fe3O4 and Al powder. which makes Fe + Al2O3 r free molten iron, and aluminum oxide. but can be any number of metal oxides with the appropriate oxygen hungry partner. some people make it with aluminum and calcium sulphate(plaster of paris). the dragons egg cracklers is a heavy metal(lead tetroxide) and magnalium( MgAl alloy). if you like this kind of stuff read up on it first. I don't know everything, but I have learned a lot

demnlordd666 Says:

May 12, 2012 - and one more lill point. if you drop the temp on thermite below the threshold of reducing iron oxide, you have effectively STOPPED it. you can stop it in its tracks. its not easy to do... takes a lot of cold material, but can be done. liquid nitrogen in large quantities would prob work, but would have to overcome the surface to surface contact boiling off. its not smothering it in a conventional sense, but effectively it chokes it out by stopping the flow of oxygen to the aluminum.

Peaceinlifenowar Says:

May 12, 2012 - Thank you, :) I meant cool down.

May 21, 2012 - Richard Hammond,Liquid Nitrogen,and Thermite. Best.Video.Ever.

saturnGEEK Says:

May 23, 2012 - Why not try it yourself?

demnlordd666 Says:

May 23, 2012 - dont have time or money to waste at the moment, working on 3 drywall jobs :) gotta love $ and fishing privileges behind a passcoded gate on the norther cali coast. can throw a rock from this deck into the ocean.

saturnGEEK Says:

May 24, 2012 - It's not that expensive. And yes I do know how much it costs & how to make thermite. It is not that hard.

demnlordd666 Says:

May 24, 2012 - yes I know it is quite reasonably priced or very easily made. in college I majored in chemistry so yes I too know how to make. but,,, I been away from home for 7 straight weeks with nothing but the tools in my truck man! havn't even seen my woman in 4 weeks. and besides that did you not hear me say 3 jobs at once. do it your self jack, I'm fucking bussy

saturnGEEK Says:

May 24, 2012 - Didn't say anything about doing it right away. Just making a vague suggestion.

demnlordd666 Says:

May 24, 2012 - noted, sry. most definitely I will, eventually, and ya I'll post it when I do. till then have a good one

Josue31627 Says:

May 29, 2012 - Now use chlorine trifluoride!
