The BBC orchesta are great, again in their own right ...but TOGETHER they are sublime....It's about the only time this year I'm glad I paid my TV license and I'll keep paying as long as this is what we get for our "buck".......SUPERB!!!

"Chivalrous shambles" implies they think they're doing the right thing by keeping their problem to themselves, but their cure isn't working. They turn to "booze" and fall in with a bad crowd as a result. The narrator just wants his friend to leave that crowd and share the problem- "sing again".
