Sarah Vaughn wasn't know for her scat singing.. she was known for her ability to be able to jump octives and beyond... Ella was DEF known for her scat singing, but, had problems coming back to pitch after singing scat... it's like comparing Beverly Sills to Joan Sutherland.. same genre, VERY different sounds and styles....
