You have to understand it in context of the time in which it was released.Pantera had topped the charts a few months before, and the executives definitely didn't want to release an album aimed at youth entitled 'Old'. So the track that was closest to being a Pantera clone was released as the first track and single.Those industry influences don't make this any less of a classic of metal, or elevate Davidian to that level.
