Oct 2, 2011 - Respond to this video... we know that the French introduced gloves, a ring, and rounds in the 1920s why would they have done that if the art were just slapping?

brooklynmonk1 Says:

Oct 2, 2011 - Respond to this video... if this is actual, vintage footage from the 1920's, why does it have sound and a running time code?

arm61037 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - LoL Because u travel that doesn't make u know every thing, let me ask u. if u looking back what year is oldest that cambodian have record and boxing like muay thai? and u know if u can prove this vid that who is the one is making is "Deane H. Dickason" that fake u can famous than this and even footage "BURTON HOLMES" alot of them have running time code too.

arm61037 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - and about gloves if thailand doesn't have the king that support muay thai now a day thailand can't develop to sport martial art call muay thai, and sadly that cambodian always have their own country problem until recently, i'm can't remember what years but when i was small their country still have problem.

brooklynmonk1 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - The oldest written Khmer records of boxing are most likely documents made by the French, during 19th century. No, vintage film footage does not have a running time code. digital numbers didnt even exist until the 1970s. I remember.

brooklynmonk1 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - I dont know why they shot on a stage, but the fight scenes seem to have been shot on a stage. what is definitely true, however, is that old film footgae doesnt have time code. i have been shooting movies since the 1970s and i can tell you in the 1970s they didnt even have time code yet. digital clocks and digital numbers didnt exist till the 1970s.

arm61037 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - then why don't u go to TV program in amarica and say this topic that this people make fake footage history even u and i argument this is not ending at all and u can famous more than this and i don't understand if it fake how can they make those a lot of footage that have old location every country.

arm61037 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - oh and i heard something amazing, that u want to take a photo with kru preang but they know that what kind of people u r then they decline,LoL

arm61037 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - and if u look carefully at digital runing code they don't mix with footage well i think they just add in those footage after they shot all those footage.it can say when they shot those footage don't have this digital running code.

arm61037 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - u can check all of other footage that they film in clear version that u can see digital running code don't mix well with original footage.

brooklynmonk1 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - Sorry, I think I will bow out of this argument. Your grammar is frightening and your logic is non-existant. You have obviously done none of your own research or had any experience making video. so I think better I just leave you to it.

arm61037 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - yes,i think that the better way that u should end this argument, when u have no evidence and always say it fake.and i'm sure of it,this is a real because digital running code does't match original footage and some of their footage that come from other than that web it doesn't have digital running code that mean they play original footage and used new camera record it again then digital runing code it has on their footage.

arm61037 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - .and one thing u don't have to answer me anymore if u don't have evidence.i'm tired of it.

brooklynmonk1 Says:

Oct 3, 2011 - That makes sense. but even if the footage is old, is not clear to you that this is not a real fight? could you please answer that question? I have asked you several times.

arm61037 Says:

Oct 4, 2011 - who is make this footage say it boxing cambodia when they record in thai they say thai boxing too.and i'm not type who like to argument but some time i don't know why i say someting like that too if i say to make u annoy i'm sorry.i just don't want to argument any more.

KhmerWarrior7 Says:

Nov 1, 2011 - You don't see Thai people living in Cambodia, but you see many Khmer people living in Thailand, Khmer people live in Thailand long ago when Thailand is not existed just see the date of Khmer temples built in Thailand at least 200 years before Thai existed that mean Thai are new people coming to live with Khmer people and copied everything from Khmer that Khmer already created and already existed like this one on this video.

babibump Says:

Nov 10, 2011 - We live in the age of information. Everything can be found on the internet. The world knows about the Khmer Empire, yet, the Siems keep denying and keep trying to steal our culture. Google and Wikipedia is your best friend.

Nov 13, 2011 - เครื่องดนตรีเขมรเหมือนเครื่องดนตรีไทยเลยนะคะ ...นาฏศิลป์ไทยด้วยนี่มันยังไงหรอคะ?

Chetah01 Says:

Dec 14, 2011 - Search Oldest Thai Boxing 1920 and Bokator 1930. Thai ppl had a stage , tradition and more formal. Bakator filmed after thai boxing. Even though it's 10 yrs different but Bokator didn't improve anything. Still doing boxing on the floor. easy to think. They were influenced by Thailand.

spawncore Says:

Dec 14, 2011 - I have seen that video from 1920 and i think its incredible footage...however,.the footage at angkor wat is showing 'bokator', not khmer boxing (pradal serey) which would be a more relevant comparison..in cambodia, rings came from colonial influence, not from thailand....when debating about influence, we must distinguish between the sport as it is today and the traditional art that it is derived from...my argument is for the 'martial arts' (kun khmer boran, muay boran), not the sports

Chetah01 Says:

Dec 15, 2011 - Good that u r cleaver enough to explain than other stupid cambodians who always think negatively on Muay boran. Thais were influenced by Cambodia and after ur empire declined Cambodian were influenced by Thai. It's now called Globalization.

KhmerWarrior7 Says:

Mar 8, 2012 - How were Cambodian influenced by Thai? Where did Thai get the word Boran from? Thai speaking language is Tai from China no Sanskrit nor Pali if Thai got Sanskrit or Pali in their language because Thai got it from Khmer because Khmer were already there before Thai, the land, the culture , the temples already existed before Thai arriving. It's called a big lie and disgraced Thai people.
