Jan 30, 2012 - @Sanch6S This was done as a "open movie" project of Blender Foundation. It was done by small team consisting of 7 key people. It took a bit less than a year to finish it. The aims were to use Blender (open source 3D software) for creating high quality cartoon style short movie. To check for more info go to bigbuckbunny . org (remove spaces). There you'll find production blogs, articles etc. Also Blender Foundation made another short movie called Sintel. Check it on youtube, it's worth a shot.
