May 7, 2012 - @O.J van der beek I know what you mean I wish I was born in that time. I hate being 17 and born into this generation. Marvin Gaye and all the other artists back in the day were pretty amazing. Wish I lived in that era.

May 7, 2012 - I was a teenager during the 60's and there was sooo much good music, it was like heads exploding with all the wonderful music coming out. We're all blessed that we have these recordings & videos so younger people like you can see & experience what it was like. These times will never come again, but we have it forever! Marvin is so great, one of the best of all time.

May 7, 2012 - @trackerinblue yeah, you guys were pretty lucky to have that music experience..and im glad theres recordings etc. Every now and then i end up listening to artists from the 40s, 50s,60s,70s and 80s because those types of music never gets me bored. i wish i could go back in time just to watch musicians like marvin gaye...you're very lucky to have lived in that era =)

May 8, 2012 - What an amazing artist - he was one of the greats, right up there with Michael Jackson, Ray Charles and Elvis Presley. He led a freakish childhood but released all his pent up anger with music - just as other artists had done and still continue to do so. RIP Marvin, I only wish you were born to a better father, you well and truly are a legend.

May 14, 2012 - Marvin's father shot him, his father was a priest. His father said the music was evil. If this music is evil, i don't want to belong to any religion.
