Even worse, Dre's feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts "the karate kid" on the floor with ease. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.

May 24, 2012 - I so agree with you, Jaden Smith is a tiny little boy, who in reality, would never get a chance to beat up a Chinese boy who grew up with Kung Fu. In Chinese culture those 'kids' who are that good are brought up with this martial art and their bodies are trained to do this. We have this little boy who turns up in China and given a few weeks turns expert in martial arts? That is not what Kung Fu/Karate is about, it takes months to train to be that good. I totally agree with you.

May 24, 2012 - Look it up, africa is already being dominated by Asia on a massive scale the western media won't promote yet until China become World Number One Economy that is when the shift will be highlighted. There is a massive economic shift going on as we speak, ask yourself why so many blacks are hanging around Asians all of a sudden, because Asia is dominating them on a scale that is so big that Asia combined has $50 Trillion the usa is finished as are the blacks with it.

May 24, 2012 - This film is just the remake of the 1984 "The Karate Kid". If this film was titled The Kung Fu Kid, people would not know this was the remake of the original. So no one would watch it. It would be a box office failure.
