Jun 21, 2011 - 2:36 - 2:38,the best part!As for versatility,props to Trevor Peres!Just saying. and is that Blackmore still with a middle pick-up at 0:26?

Pannemat Says:

Jun 21, 2011 - Apparently it's a 1982 Robin Octave Doubleneck. And yes,the Robin website states they look like "smaller explorer type" headstocks. (Reminded me of Hamer too.). It went for US $45.000-something.

Jul 15, 2011 - man, I love the les paul. The gold top 1957 or the burts of 1959 or 1960. ut at 3:34... the strat it´s a beauty also. for me, the strat is the perfect example of the perfect design of simplicity, and the les paul in the otherhand, it´s elegant.... majestic.

Jan 11, 2012 - Dick Dale IS the difference between arrogant & confident.... He'd come across as the former if the latter were not true.

PANICBLADE Says:

Mar 2, 2012 - fender LOVED when people experimented with his instrument. He invented other guitars and styles while at G&L to accomidate other players interests. he didnt die in the 60s man he lived to see his creation grow and become the most popular guitar to date.

pipsqueek14 Says:

Mar 4, 2012 - yup. in the begining he just played a right handed as he said.

marycockburn1 Says:

Mar 11, 2012 - does anyone know what neck radius hanks strat is the one hes holding in this video?

grindelwaldprods Says:

Mar 11, 2012 - We only know it is the 40th Anniversary model, custom made for Hank with a ruby set into the headstock. Anyone know the neck radius for the Hank Marvin signature?

resource97 Says:

Mar 22, 2012 - Hey that is Fred stuart, Grey Moustache, Perfect pitch, master of tuning for the Strat

grindelwaldprods Says:

Mar 23, 2012 - Yes, great guy to talk to.,Lucky to find him, thanks to the Fender Museum.

MrDunkJunk Says:

Apr 5, 2012 - I never said he died in the 60s! And yes he liked to experiment with people like Don Lace sr. who created one of the best pickups on earth the Lace Sensor. But a lot of changes made on the strat were not Leo Fender's ideas and he was not happy with them. I know that for sure because that's his partnet George Fullerton said in an interview!

PANICBLADE Says:

Apr 5, 2012 - i never said you said he died in the 60s! and im very familiar with the laces, i have them in my strat, theyre alright. Leo was always a fan of innovating, he just didnt like what SOME people did with SOME changes to his instruments. he didnt think the strat was something that was legendary and sacred and should never touched or improved upon. he listened to players demands and complaints and innovated in his own way to incorporate them. thats how the strat was born in the first place.

PANICBLADE Says:

Apr 5, 2012 - and even his successor to the strat the s-500 which features hotter mfd pickups with adjustable polepieces, flatter neck profile with bigger frets, a redesigned bridge for more stability, resonance and less friction, and electronics that could give you every possible combination of pickups. this was a response to the favorable changes his fans and consumers made to their instruments. he just didnt like it when people turned the instrument into something it wasnt like what you were talking about.

shaindaman13 Says:

Apr 9, 2012 - I'm very much a Gibson guy, but I gotta say, I love my Strat too. Although I have only one Fender, I have slew of Gibsons, I go through periods where my Strat is all I ever pick up. Pale yellow, maple neck, white pick guard with a Gibson humbucker in the bridge, it's absolute perfection.
