Oct 14, 2011 - If they tried to explain this to me when I was in public school, I probably would not get it. Thanks for uploading this to my favourite website. It helped me not lose attention and also helped me to understand better. Thank you so FREAKING MUCH! lol

Oct 18, 2011 - And it gets even better when doing engineering where some things are large and some small. Off the top my head i know: atto-, femto-, pico-, nano-, micro- ,milli-,... ,kilo-, mega-, giga-, tera- and peta-. That's 33 orders of magnitude i can represent by adding a prefix to any unit. Try that with your inches, feet and miles. Actually, don't, you'll go crazy.

Nov 6, 2011 - What about hectare and cm squeared and those stuff?
robichaudd Says:
Nov 6, 2011 - @Candymylife You're better of using the unit fraction method if squares and other powers are involved. See the "metrics conversions - unit fraction" method at my channel for a brief video on that method.

Nov 16, 2011 - really good method,
MegaMat84 Says:
Dec 3, 2011 - @jordanluver17 U can use the same system as presented on this video. Distance between kilo and centi is 5 decimal points. So 15 cm = 0.00015 km.Regards

Dec 18, 2011 - How about just remembering what the words mean; like milli, 1000, centi, 100, deci, 10 etc.

Jan 19, 2012 - Great video but what about when you want to convert to cubic cenimeters?
grneydchyck Says:
Jan 19, 2012 - @briesibleyy When I was in school it was "King Henry Danced (merrily, lazily, gracefully) down center main"
robichaudd Says:
Jan 20, 2012 - @dayseeuh You'll want to use the unit fraction method for those types of problems. Search the uploads at my channel for "metric conversions - unit fraction method." Follow that approach, except cube the entire unit fraction (or square it, depending on the unit your trying to get rid of). For example, 9cm^3*(1m/100cm)^3=0.000009m^3. Always put the unit you're trying to cancel out in the denominator of the unit fraction.
