Feb 15, 2012 - The Rainbow version is so so much better than this. This version is ok but its missing 2 key factors......Ritchie Blackmore and my man and one of my biggest influences Cozy Powell........RIP Cozy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feb 15, 2012 - This version blows the Rainbow cover version away!! The original always sounds better. BTW, why did Rainbow cover a Head East song just a year after it was released? That sounds pretty desperate to me, to take another band's hit song and try to bank off of it so soon after it was released. If someone did that today they would get ridiculed. I mean, what if Usher covered the Black Eyed Peas song "I Gotta Feeling"? People would think Usher was leeching off of their success with the song.

Feb 22, 2012 - That's like saying an Elvis impersonator is better than Elvis - lol. They might sing a mean Blue Suede Shoes, but any way you look at it they are still singing a cover song.Don't get me wrong - I love Rainbow. I just think that #1. The Head East version was just fine without needing to be covered; and #2. It was an insult for Rainbow to cover a song that was only a year old and still on the charts.

Feb 22, 2012 - I mean, think about it for a moment... what if Dokken covered a Ratt hit song back in the 80's... that would have been a real WTF moment just like this is.

Feb 26, 2012 - I still have a Guitar pick with HEAD-EAST TONY GROSS on It from back in the day. I remember the Head East road truck being parked in lonedell, missouri when i was in high school.

Feb 28, 2012 - Got news for you ... the Head East version WAS a cover, not the original. Since You Been Gone was a song from Russ Ballard and his 1976 album - 2 years before Head East's version. So really all you are arguing is which Elvis impersonator is better.
