Jan 22, 2012 - Thats cool. I think that free will easily proves this theory. This concept is used all the time in entertainment.

Jan 23, 2012 - The Theory of Mind is all true, but not so much for autistic people.

Jan 26, 2012 - The comments on this video are making me question my sanity. : /

Jan 29, 2012 - We all know about the theory of mind, most people have just never really thought about about it before - it really makes sense when someone lays it out like that

Feb 7, 2012 - 500 characters remaining Create a video response or Post anything that is , is made and designed , from a teapot to a star ,its only logical and good science, PS Flat pack just arrived , but not going to put it together , just gonna wait x amount of million years and it will assemble itself, conclusion , just having matter and materials of different sorts, and throw them together under any enviromental conditions is pointless with out information

VonSwaggernaut Says:

Feb 19, 2012 - are you fucking kidding me? the information did exist. that information was the four forces, whatever number of dimensions there are, and time. Think about it like the forces are hands, those assemble our current picture of the universe ( PS Flat pack) along time within X number dimensions. So yes matter can put itself together. The PS flat pack will eventually turn itself into energy or chaos (quantam chaos look it up) regardless of whether its assembled thanks to entropy.

Feb 28, 2012 - That was very informative, ecspecially for the fact that there are no dinosour bones, our microscopes cant see DNA and plants don't die without sun.

Feb 29, 2012 - one of the first games we learn before we speek is to hide an object behind our back and make someone guess which hand it's in. this by itself is some level of awareness of theory of mind and difference in thought. I think choice provokes thinking and awareness. Mr. Seyfarth I feel you have limited your research ...

PeeGeeBeeDee Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - NO IDEA

mchandler2112 Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - The child is taught that game, they don't come up with it on their own. I'm reminded of a video where a child is put on the other side of a miniature volcano model from a grown up. The child's side has trees and little people, the adult's has buildings and boats. The child is shown the adult's side and confirms that the child sees the buildings/boats, then is moved to the other side. When asked what the adult sees, the child answers "trees and little people."

daniel12181961 Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - now if you ask this same child if they remmember what they (i read confirmed) just saw on the other side and then ask them again what the adult now sees? is this leading? or could this be about understanding. I think there're other factors here besides age 3. I'd like to see the stats on this research. I'll look into this a bit more. Thanks for the responce.

mchandler2112 Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - I wish I could find the video for you. The child wasn't lead on, and they had multiple age groups to demonstrate that young children are incapable of "seeing" things from other's perspectives. This is obvious when babies play peek-a-boo and keep getting surprised when the parent "comes back" even though they were just hidden for a few moments. Children are born 100% self-centered, and gradually come to understand things like perspective and empathy.

daniel12181961 Says:

Feb 29, 2012 - saw the clips (thank you) and noted distraction, discomfort and misunderstanding. I'd like to see the same tests given at home by a family member, the use of larger objects should make a difference as well. I still see this research as incomplete.

mchandler2112 Says:

Mar 1, 2012 - Do it yourself then. It's fine to be dubious, but this is a fairly well established theory done thousands of times since Piaget did it a hundred years ago. There's not a lot of videos of it, but I'm sure you can go to your local hospital and talk to a child psychologist about it and get better information than from me.

Mar 8, 2012 - @TempoHari I'd Like To Answer Your Questions Nip, But Your Questions Don't Make Sense. I Don't Know If This Is Because You've Had A Few TOO MANY Or Because You Don't Have A Strong Grasp Of The Material Above Or Because You're Just Not SMART, But All I Can Suggest Is That You Go Here veryayshun.blogspot To Get A Better Idea Of What Theory Of Mind Is.

Mar 17, 2012 - Bro dinosaurs aren't a theory...

MegaShaft007 Says:

Apr 6, 2012 - You are talking about undeniable facts backed up by undeniable evidence. Dinosaurs, cells, photosynthesis aren't theories anymore, now they became scientific facts and laws. Theory would be e.g. on how dinosaurs extinct. In psychology EVERYTHING is a theory because there is no one scientific proof for ANYTHING. Which is why psychology is a semi-science.

WILLTHEWGMAN Says:

May 3, 2012 - Question for ALL; What do believe to be more certain, the scientifically empirical truth of "survival of the fittest" or the human value of the concept of "equality"? Is empiricism in scientific truths less real or not true reality because of human consciousness or is human consciousness an illusion of what is real in the material reality?

supersonicnazo Says:
