http://www.euronews.net/ The US economy created jobs at the fastest pace in nine months in January as growth at the back of 2011 carried into the early part of this year.The number of people in work jumped by 243,000, much better than economists' forecasts of a gain of 150,000.In addition the November and December numbers were revised to show 60,000 more jobs were created than previously reported.The unemployment rate dropped to 8.3 percent of workforce. That is the lowest level since February 2009. The rate has declined by 0.8 percent since August.

Feb 3, 2012 - The Unemployment rate has been actually steady for the past year but its been going down for the last 5 months is because millions have left the labor force.

Feb 4, 2012 - As long as you do not count those that already left the job market, and they keep on giving up on finding new jobs, the total workforce number shrinks and that will give you a better unemployment number, that's very good for statistics AND for Obama re-election campaign BUT you have to ask those on the ground, real life, how is to live w/o a job for 2+ years.If you add those that still in the States with no job but who stopped looking for work, unemployment should be at least 10%.
