Apr 10, 2010 - We see clues in certain episodes - "Arrival" and "Free For All" spring to mind - that The Village was perfectly capable of cloning people. They cloned No6 and put him in charge of The Village as No1, the idea being he was fighting himself every step of the way in order to escape.

Aug 30, 2010 - Good thing they're not redoing it, then.With the 2009 series they make their own thing from the same basic concept but twisted WAY differently, and it's brilliant. Never does it try to "redo" the original at all.But how would you know after "watching 15 minutes" of it? Eager to join the snub crowd?It's also not like the original series is that flawless masterpiece either. Plenty of episodes are poorly constructed, and the pacing and characters in some others isn't the best.

Dec 21, 2010 - I watched the originals back then. Didn't 'get' it all the time. Decided to buy the series on dvd. I couldn't stop watching. PG was a genius. If you can find the dvd's, they are highly recommended!

Mar 19, 2011 - The butler was Number 1 (yeah, the butler did it).He was the only character to appear in every episode. Remember McGoohan wasn't in "Do Not Foresake Me Oh My Darling;" he was filming "Ice Station Zebra." He drove the truck during the escape during "Fall Out." At the end of "Fall Out," when he approached the door at No 6's apartment (ONE Buckingham) it opened automatically.

I had trouble finding the appropriate words for the meaning of Number 1 revealed, and Number 6 sees a man with his face.Something for Number 6 of Miami to consider. He should watch the entire series, because he too is a prisoner, already with parallels between himself and McGoohan's character. Only when he confronts number 1 (himself) will he be victorious. From what I've seen, that is pretty much the last piece of the puzzle for him.

Jun 15, 2011 - My mistake...Number 1, with regard to Number 6 of Miami, is sort of a paradox. In one case, it is TWO people: His opponent, AND himself. In the other case, his opponent and himself are one and the same. The sooner he overcomes and conquers Number 1, he too will be victorious, just like Number 6 in 'The Prisoner'. That is what I seem to think was put on display throughout this entire series.

The Village has excellent webcams (go to the main hotel website find the link) which update every few seconds which is kind of ironic, looked grey and cool this morning. Sadly I missed the Prisoner Bash this year - just been made unemployed (again) so money is rather tight, perhaps next year? I'm looking for pics on the 2012 convention - haven't found any as yet.
