You obviously felt the need to express your opinion with your first comment, so why don't you want to elaborate and explain it more thoroughly? Flo's video is full of symbolism, Glee's seems to me like just a basic montage about a sad woman with a sad life.I'm not saying you owe me or anyone else and explanation, I'm just saying I'd like one. Who knows, I might get something out of it that might make me appreciate the Glee version.

Whether is a unfortunate circumstance that hurts so much, but you simply can't let go, it's attached to you with something more sticky than glue; regret. Or someone that has cause you so much pain but you still need him in your life. I think this song is about possesion, about letting go and starting over, with a brand new self, because "it's always darker before the dawn" Thank you, Florence, for this wonderful, and helpful song.
