Feb 24, 2012 - I would love to see JFK and Stalin as strippers, hey wait a minute who gives a fuck about an oxford comma?

NadinHappyKId Says:

Mar 4, 2012 - This joke has been plagiarized, dear sir.

legomyfego Says:

Mar 5, 2012 - I don't think Vampire Weekend is literally saying that the Oxford comma is pointless specifically. The song is more just about how ridiculous it is that people get so caught up about punctuation and grammar in general

TheWrestle119 Says:

Mar 9, 2012 - may have been the best video i think ive ever seen

koolaidman52 Says:

Mar 15, 2012 - A simple change in the order can clear up the ambiguity. How about "We invited Stalin, JFK and the strippers?"

Qutorii Says:

Mar 16, 2012 - Without the oxford comma, you get an ambiguity where x, y and z could mean two things. It could be a list, or it could say that y and z are a part of the group x. For example, although it is easy to tell that JFK and Stalin are not strippers, if I were to give you the phrase "We invited the children, Danny and Joey to the park" it would be much less clear. The Oxford comma gets rid of that ambiguity and provides clarity. So use it. Besides, don't you want to be classy like the British?

alphaacton Says:

Mar 16, 2012 - the antomy of criticism dictates that it isn't whether it wasgood or bad, but in essence its artistic merit. The merit artistic or otherwise is minimal.

cbeaups1 Says:

Mar 22, 2012 - Anyone else see the guy eat shit during the epilogue??

DylanDdogTv Says:

Apr 13, 2012 - Never picked out that 'Lil Jon' line but looked the song up on Wikipedia and thought it was hilarious.

hg585 Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - Next, they should write a song about the usage of the word 'literally.'

Mrthatawkwardguy Says:

Apr 29, 2012 - What is going on in this video???

ztejas13 Says:

Apr 30, 2012 - Technically you should use a colon after We invited the strippers: JFK and Stalin if you wish to imply that they are strippers.

burcharg Says:

May 5, 2012 - only 200k views?!?! people really hate punctuation.

burcharg Says:

May 5, 2012 - also, was this directed by Wes Anderson? :)

PaintTheOwl Says:

May 14, 2012 - Ezra looks so dashing in that suit -3-3

irreduciblekoan Says:

May 16, 2012 - Technically (and I'm too lazy to give a source but I remember reading this rule somewhere), "strippers" would need to go last, thus removing the ambiguity. Something about the specific (proper nouns) coming before the general in a grammatical situation such as that.

Hector Barbossa Says:

May 17, 2012 - Stalin and the strippers.....Now, there's a name for a band.

Leb1996 Says:

May 19, 2012 - I understand what you're saying. But seriously, what kind of messed up human being would want to hang out with those people. Are you insane? Don't hang out with strippers.
