This is the first trailer for the David Fincher version of "The GIrl with the Dragon Tattoo" based on the novel by Stieg Larsson.Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared from a family gathering on the island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger clan. Her body was never found, yet her uncle is convinced it was murder and that the killer is a member of his own tightly knit but dysfunctional family. He employs disgraced financial journalist Mikael Blomkvist and the tattooed, ruthless computer hacker Lisbeth Salander to investigate. When the pair link Harriet's disappearance to a number of grotesque murders from almost forty years ago, they begin to unravel a dark and appalling family history. But the Vangers are a secretive clan, and Blomkvist and Salander are about to find out just how far they are prepared to go to protect themselves.

May 24, 2012 - I got so bored I turned the movie off about 20 minutes in. I was watching the Swedish version. Everyone says its better than the American so I didn't bother with it. Plus the rape scene is really disturbing according to my friend.

May 27, 2012 - A terrible adaption. Inconsistent acting, inconsistent voice work, odd casting decisions... the only good thing I can say about this film is the story, and when the novel and a previous film did that so well, you'd have to be retarded to get that wrong.
