Description:
Book Your Hotel in Florence: http://www.booking.com/city/it/florence.html?aid=345526;label=youtube_FirenzeFlorence is the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany and of the province of Florence. It is the most populous city in Tuscany, with 367,569 inhabitants (1,500,000 in the metropolitan area). The city lies on the River Arno and is known for its history and its importance in the Middle Ages and in the Renaissance, especially for its art and architecture. A centre of medieval European trade and finance and one of the richest and wealthiest cities of the time, Florence is often considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance; in fact, it has been called the Athens of the Middle Ages.It was long under the de facto rule of the Medici family. From 1865 to 1870 the city was also the capital of the Kingdom of Italy. The historic centre of Florence attracts millions of tourists each year and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982. Florence is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world and its artistic, historic and cultural heritage and impact in the world remains vast up to this day. The city has also a major European impact in music, architecture, education, cuisine, fashion, philosophy, science and religion. The historic centre of Florence contains numerous elegant piazzas, Renaissance palazzi, academies, parks, gardens, churches, monasteries, museums, art galleries and ateliers. The city has also been nominated, according to a 2007 study, as the most desirable destination for tourists in the world. The city boasts a wide range of collections of art, especially those held in the Pitti Palace and the Uffizi, (which receives about 1.6 million tourists a year). Florence is arguably the last preserved Renaissance city in the world and is regarded by many as the art capital of Italy. It has been the birthplace or chosen home of many notable historical figures, such as Dante, Boccaccio, Botticelli, Niccolò Machiavelli, Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, Donatello, Galileo Galilei, Catherine de' Medici, Antonio Meucci, Guccio Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli, Florence Nightingale and Emilio Pucci. Mar 4, 2012 - I went to Italy once. All the women are hairy and the all the men are homosexual. The only food is pasta - boring, boring pasta. No-one works and everyone is very lazy. No-one speaks English & they ignore you if you can't speak Italian. Everyone shouts & gestures when they speak and they love to point. They rarely wash & all the men love their mothers. Everyone is in the Mafia and crime is out of control. They are all Roman Catholics & everyone worships the Pope. I am never going back.

Apr 25, 2012 - Assassins creed isn't a bad thing, at least its opened peoples minds up, it definitely did for me, and as a result of that, i am going there next year. It's not like some sort of contest where you win if you knew about Florence years before assassins creed was even made. The main thing is that people want to visit surely? :) can't wait!

airsoftwarNW Says:

Apr 25, 2012 - When I went to florence and walked the streets near the Piazza della signoria and the piazza del duomo, I felt a sence of Deja vu. I had played assassin's creed 2 and just adored the game but being there made me feel like I was back in time, in ezio's shoes. I climbed to the top of the duomo and could see the entire city. Somewhere i heard an eagle cry. Then i had realized how much that game really ment to me. You feel everything.

Cyanidex3 Says:
