Dec 1, 2011 - I just got my camera today and I was able to figure out how to use it except that the sound for the video is very low (soft). I already set it to top volume but still when I playback the sound is still very light. What am I missing here? Is there something else I need to do?

Dec 8, 2011 - At this point, you may be better off going for the HX9V. Costco has it for 260.00. I am using the HX9V at this point and think it's worth the extra few buck. Quality is actually noticeably better--particularly with stills, but video also. I have sample footage posted, so check it out.
