Feb 19, 2012 - @Poptronic It looks to me like the tan sedan was in the same lane as the SUV to begin with and the SUV merged left to get out of his way or pass the vehicle in front, but the speeding sedan merged at the same time to pass the SUV and lost control as he jerked back into his lane. I'd say the sedan is at fault.

Mar 12, 2012 - in the US, technically, the guy who rear-ended the other guy is at fault. but i see this kind of driving too often. it's actually the poor driving habits of two cars: 1) the white car in front of the collision who braked for absolutely no reason and caused the car behind him to want to brake, and 2) the guy who got rear-ended because he A) switched into a free lane whilst braking (which makes no sense) and B) didn't look in his rearview/side mirror to see if anyone was coming up fast.
