The American Deluxe Stratocaster has been upgraded with a compound radius neck with a contoured heel, allowing complete ease for chord work on the low frets and unmatched playability on the high end of the fretboard for soloing. Choose either maple or rosewood fretboard each has 22 medium jumbo frets. These maple compound radius necks have a satin urethane finish for ultra-smooth action and all of these features add up to superior and unrivaled playability. The N3 Noiseless Pickups have been reconfigured for rich Stratocaster tone, but with absolutely no hum or buzz. These third generation noiseless pickups are sparkling, glassy, dirty, and absolutely soulful in every way. The N3 Noiseless pickups deliver astounding vintage Stratocaster tones, but in conjunction with the reconfigured S-1 switching system, the tonal options are expanded. The S-1 switching system allows you to run pickup combinations in either series or parallel, as well as with special capacitors for an unmatched tonal diversity in a single coiled instrument. A no load tone circuit for middle and bridge pickups provides even more tonal range for these outstanding guitars. The bridge is a 2 point synchronized tremolo, with pop in arm, and along with the locking tuners, guarantees astounding tuning stability. The American Deluxe Stratocaster is figured in Alder with a gloss urethane finish in Sunset Metallic, and 3 ply Mint Green pickguard. Dec 4, 2011 - Nice video, thanks. I am seriously considering this guitar and have been scouring the 'net to see how it sounds. I have yet to find an example of it doing a classic Hendrix or SRV tone - I mean, do those N3s allow that open, woody, almost hollow sound? I haven't heard that at all, but it is easily heard on most other Strat vids. Don't want to assume it can't do it, though.

Apr 8, 2012 - I have two deluxes and two standards (all american) and though soundwise there isn't a great difference (except for the pickups, which makes them sound fairly different) theres is a significant difference in the job they put in these guitars. Both my standards needed fret work by a luthier. The fret job on the standard isn't like it should be, while on the deluxe it is very good (or, as it should be!) If you buy a standard, check if there is buzz on the 16-20th frets! (especially on the G and D)
