My horse had a crack in his hoof and without shoes to keep the hoof from cracking further up he would have started to be lame, then put down because he wouldn't be able to walk. It also keeps them from getting stone bruises, and helps them correct hoof wear. Please research before you comment.

Sep 19, 2011 - I've been lucky enough to see just one foal in my life and this clip doesn't do it justice. yes it's VERY cute but it's SOOO much better seeing a foal with your own eyes. OMG you just want to run up and hug it. baby animals are just so dam cute. I had a delivery for the farm. I asked if I could just watch for a bit. all energy & playing and jumping around I think he was 3 weeks old. it was probably the best thing I've ever witnessed. Thank you for sharing this clip with us. nice of you.

I've just spent 3 years at a college where we had to put halters on the horses when we went in their stalls (unless it was just to feed them). We did this so that if they would happen to get out of their stall we would be able to catch them...keep them off a busy road....KEEP THEM SAFE!

Oct 1, 2011 - @MissMerMer1980 my friend owns a horse farm and the her barn door is always open cuz the pasture is in the back. she hates putting stuff like that on her horse.i mean no ropes no saddle's and no halter's. she only rides them for times a week.usually with a rope but thats it. the only time she ever put some thing like them is when she takes them to get there shots. she's very good with the horses to.
