May 19, 2012 - I've read and re-read the Iliad. Fantastic work. One simply has to get used to the Homeric prose. Thetis Silverfoot imploring Zeus Cronion to give glory to her son Achilles; Zeus (knowing that Hera is watching them) acquiesing by nodding His sacred head and all Olympos quaking as a sign of His sheer power and overlordship; Hera spying on them and bringing up the subject of Thetis' imploring; Zeus threatening His Sister/Wife/Queen with His strong hands, etc...simply fantastic.
