jimmyranaway Says:
May 20, 2012 - are you saying that crime filled american prisons where inmates are treated like shit and made to feel like shit are better at rehabilitating them into positions where they can function in society? There is such a thing as too liberal, but honestly America's piled up industrial complex prisons actually have a much higher return rate to prison, a higher return rate to violent crime and higher return rates to gun violence. Sorry if I seem anti-american, but seriously, its not like you're better

May 22, 2012 - So bias its kind of painful to watch. Norway has nice prisons, and also has a much, much, much lower crime rate. Muuuuuuuuuch lower. The prisons actually work.
Imaysayalot Says:
May 23, 2012 - Ok Norway has a lot of Money, but we also know HOW TO USE IT IN OTHER COUTRYS AND NOT FOR OURSELF. look at us our hospitals are falling apart, our roads are probably among the worst in Europe, and our leading politacl party is gathering votes based on what happend on the 22. I for one (belive it or not) am sick of it. Media have almost completely destroyed my sympatie for what happend. Though I hate what happend so don't get me wrong. It is just that Ap is now gathering sympatie votes.

May 23, 2012 - Norway is making the world fool. They are showing some 3 star hotel pics instead of jail.
axn36 Says:
May 23, 2012 - @3.11, it's electric shock item for prisoners

May 24, 2012 - Sounds to me like Norway has their shit together and statics prove this! A sense of revenge is is what the American system is about and guess what? IT DOESN"T WORK! Most criminals are being proven more and more by the scientific community to be mentally unstable with different brains than functional people, therefore, they need rehabilitation and a little compassion, maybe for the first time in their lives. This is clearly a more evolved approach than many countries and their citizens can handle

Jogeta5 Says:
May 25, 2012 - This is a Resource Based Economy transistion prison. Find the root causes of the prisone's crime and arrive at solutions which are applied; it works.
Jogeta5 Says:
May 25, 2012 - It's the way to go if we want to transistion to a civilised society.
Jogeta5 Says:
May 25, 2012 - Change your perspective. This is the method for criminals if we want to transistion to a better society./watch?v=KphWsnhZ4Ag

May 26, 2012 - Why does this video have so many dislikes? They are just presenting facts and pictures of how it is. You can dislike the actual prisons, but i see no reason to dislike the video....Well, I must admit I am not a huge fan of this channel.
Bernilator Says:
May 26, 2012 - Prisons are supposed to rehabilitate people and make them a part of the normal society again. The prison system in the US is just for punishing people, which makes them build up hate and commit more crimes when released. If u look at the statistics, you can clearly see that the norwegian prison system is many times better.
smartercat Says:
May 27, 2012 - no, you really think that would happen? People KNOW that would not work.
Hollow Fame Says:
May 28, 2012 - I guess the high number of dislikes could be caused from the tone of mockery and ridicule in the comments about what most Norwegians would consider an ordinary standard of living. All the "I want that, we don't even have that" comments make the U.S. sound like a third world country. Flatscreen TV is a luxury? Come on. Fortunately, TYT corrected the ignorant impression in the follow-up: /watch?v=wgHdGr4aQoU
