I think In Step is SRV at his best. He cleaned up and he got a keyboard/organ player and he was just so in his prime. May 11, 2012 - A lot of people thought Stevie played so fast and tight because he was coked up all the time. It was so wonderful to see him clean and realize the coke had been holding him back. There's a precision, a wisdom, behind his playing in this show that I think demonstrate he was playing the best music of his life. Which is why I still feel sad every time I remember he's gone.
