Dec 19, 2011 - One of may favourites in World of Tanks. 122mm of death.

malypowstaniec44 Says:

Jan 4, 2012 - 'communism was worse than than nazism?' Well actually it is true in many ways. Communism wasn't even a bit better than nazism, but note that Stalin killed like 5x more people than Hitler.

nagymihalybalazs Says:

Jan 10, 2012 - @soundslaveyeah it is the answer for the Tiger tank :)

andreescumihai Says:

Feb 14, 2012 - 122 mm for IOSIF STALIN 2 vs 88 mm for tiger (((((((((((

yummmm11 Says:

Feb 23, 2012 - 88 is better

gabriele2906 Says:

Mar 23, 2012 - No 122 mm is far better :D

Sgreenenov13 Says:

Mar 28, 2012 - even with the 122 the 88 was still far better look it up

cmpeax5 Says:

Apr 1, 2012 - dot_killer vs tank_killer. *facepalm*

Sgreenenov13 Says:

Apr 1, 2012 - 88 still better

Wien1938 Says:

Apr 7, 2012 - Depends upon which 88mm. The 88mm L56 carried by the Tiger E was definitely inferior in terms of penetration, though not in terms of accuracy and rate of fire. The 88mm L71 carried by the Tiger B, Jagdpanther and Hornisse was definitely superior on all counts, although it is interesting to note that German tank crews reckoned it inferior to the L56 in terms of accuracy due to barrel whip on firing.

Sgreenenov13 Says:

Apr 7, 2012 - i think we can all agree there were some damn good tanks during world war 2

SentenzaGomez Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - This tank is the best probably the second best tank during WW2. First being King Tiger not mentioning Mouse.

AlexRukahs Says:

May 4, 2012 - Maus

Michaelasds Says:

May 5, 2012 - nope. maus was never produced and most of the king tigers broke down before it even got into battle so is-2 comes out the top.

KhataarFelMataar Says:

May 5, 2012 - Well there were prototypes produced of the maus and i have heard that two were used to defend the facility at kummersdorf but there are no clear facts about this atleast could not find any.

SentenzaGomez Says:

May 5, 2012 - You so sure the germans were far superiour in technology during WW2 then everyone else. The only reason why they were defeated was because of Hitlar, thank goodness for that!

Michaelasds Says:

May 8, 2012 - german technology was quite far ahead I'll admit, but most of their heavy tanks were over complicated that they broke down before going into battle, therefore failing in the long run.

20YrBillionaire Says:

May 8, 2012 - They lost something like HALF of their Panthers and Tigers during Kursk due to faulty design and breakdown. You could have the world's best tank (and many would argue that Germany did just that) and still lose by not being able to bring them to battle. It's like they say about the Germans - Why make something with 5 parts when you can do it with 80?

20YrBillionaire Says:

May 8, 2012 - The IS series of tanks were definitely something awesome. The Egyptians bought quite a few and used them against Israel. The US supplied M48s had a VERY hard time penetrating the front armor (nearly impossible) and had to take side shots. That's a testament to how amazingly armored these things were. The IS2 had 160mm of armor in the front compared to 120mm for the tiger.

SentenzaGomez Says:

May 9, 2012 - your quite right there I did some research and the tanks like you said broke down and there was a 45% or less of them making it into action since they were poorly made and they didn't properly train the drivers.

Dreachon Says:

May 11, 2012 - The IS had 100mm on the turret and 120mm for the obr 43 or 100mm for the obr44, 160mm is a product of wishlisting.

FrozenPetrolPie Says:

May 13, 2012 - I want subtitles, I'm from Sweden

HeirofGojira91 Says:

May 23, 2012 - And! Our colleague Dreachon also explained to me just because the 100mm of so thickness on the JS-2 doesn't mean it was absolutely shell-proof; true at Targu Frumos the JS-2's (obr 43 models) could withstand strikes of Tiger I's at beyond 2000 yards BUT actually once the Tiger I's closed in at 1800-1900 yards the 88mm rounds were able to penetrate the side turret armor of the JS-2 (well its only 90mm at the sides)

HeirofGojira91 Says:

May 23, 2012 - Plus the 100mm or 120mm? Well the Russian Brinell Hardness was actually not so good - it was unpleasant because for the matter it had like over 400 which meant it was very prone to shattering and brittle failure even if the rounds dind't penetrate. The obr 43 models also didn't have a good sloping with shot traps which meant German Tiger I's and Panthers could get a few shots in before even the JS-2 crew could do anything in return...

laseroenigmosensor Says:

May 27, 2012 - IS-2 was designed first of all to destroy bunkers and other points of resistance-and in that matters was just great -secondary to fight with other tanks.however during a front duel between IS and Panther, the second one had rather no chance to win. It could also destroy a Tiger but the crew rather had to hit the target with first shot.
