The more introverted/shy/reserved/insecure person stays on the sideline, takes less risks, lacks the motivation to fully participate (but wishes he did), and observes his friend having a great time. The more extroverted person sees an opportunity and takes the risk without hesitation. He lives his life to the fullest, even if it means that he won't live as long.

May 6, 2012 - I think the "story" behind this was there were two miners in an accident. They started to suffocate and hallucinated this happening. The dancing man who embraced dancing (death) died. The other man who stayed at the side was saved in real life and that's why he was talking about the dancing man at the end having a damn good time.

Similar to some interpretions here, I think this video is about having a close friendship with someone that really brightes up your life and gives you a better/other perspective on life. Suddenly a new door opens, and that friend can't be there for you any more. Maybe he/she marries and move away (which, if you like, could be even be interpreted directly from the ending). I love that there can be, and probably are so many layers here. It could even be about a relationship.
