May 2, 2012 - yup. that's why the world's greatest actor bought himself an island there and married a woman from there, I believe. It was Tahiti that sparked Marlon Brando's interest in indigenous Americans' rights for which he fought his whole life. I wonder which of these islands is his. Or did he sell it?

May 9, 2012 - Tarita is still alive and she still looks beautiful even at 70, she lives in Papeete now, I think she only goes to Tetiaroa very occasionally apparently, I think there are some painful memories for her there, for obvious reasons

I tried to buy Tarita's memoir but the only editions left are either in French or Italian. I can't seem to find one copy in English. I wonder why?! I'll have to head out to some vintage book stores, and hopefully I'll get lucky. Thanks again. Best.

May 16, 2012 - wow im half tahitian and half dominican rep and i live in ny queens never been over there its beyond my dreams that ill ever visit due to the fact its very expensive to even go to visit one wow ive been jailed and gone threw it i hope life gives me a chance to visit my roots before something happpens to me in new york its very hectic out here
