Apr 14, 2012 - Hey, muppetlover16. If there was an Avenue Q version of this, who would be the guests? And it would be Princeton's house party.
muppetlover16 Says:
Apr 15, 2012 - Yes, and the guests in order of apperance:NickyRickyKate (if it's Princeton's party, his girlfriend has to be there as well)Rod (it would help him loosen up a bit)Lucy(unless they were serving drinks there)Mrs. T (a teacher to control the rowdy party guests)Trekkie Monster (party animal)and the Bad Idea Bearsalso was Elmo being puppeteered by John Tartaglia or John Kennedy while Kevin was Kingston?
MrMetalmanRock Says:
Apr 15, 2012 - Good ideas for guests. I was hoping Rod and Nicky would be two of them. Also, I don't know who puppeteered Elmo during this song. I wouldn't imagine Kevin doing it since he was already doing Kingston.
muppetlover16 Says:
Apr 15, 2012 - Well it could've been either Tartaglia or Kennedy, judging by Elmo's dancing (because I think that both Johns have a similar puppeteering style)
MrMetalmanRock Says:
Apr 16, 2012 - Well, I don't know. What other characters have Tartaglia and/or Kennedy danced as?Since you say they have the same puppetry style.
muppetlover16 Says:
Apr 21, 2012 - Well I think I remember John Kennedy (or was it Steve Whitmire?) dancing as Ernie in En Vogue's Adventure and Tartaglia did Ernie in Sesame Street 4-D Movie Magic and Play With Me Sesame, and hey has it ever occured to you that John Kennedy looks a lot like Richard Hunt? (when Richard went bald that is)
MrMetalmanRock Says:
Apr 21, 2012 - Well, in Adventure, I know it wasn't Steve because he joined Sesame Street in 1993, and that sketch was made in 1991. And you're right. John Kennedy does sort of look like Richard Hunt when bald. I guess Richard was bald before he died, huh?
muppetlover16 Says:
May 6, 2012 - Guess so, and on the subject of "Adventure" afriendofbean suggested it might've been Rick Lyon doing the puppetry for Ernie ('cause I can recognize that sort of movement with Ernie's Avenue Q counterpart Nicky)
MrMetalmanRock Says:
May 6, 2012 - Did Nicky have that movement, too?
muppetlover16 Says:
May 6, 2012 - Yes
MrMetalmanRock Says:
May 7, 2012 - Then who knows? It might have been Rick.
muppetlover16 Says:
May 11, 2012 - Since Ernie didn't speak it could be Rick, 'cause if you'll remember you told me you saw a picture of Rick holding Ernie on his website, however he had that "young Frank Oz" mustache and glasses, which reminded me of Frank himself which I find odd because I always thought of Mr. Lyon as sounding like a mix of Steve Whitmire and Jim Henson (referring to Nicky) however he can do that Frank-Cookie Monster voice better than say Dave Rudman, so if RL played CM would it sound like his Trekkie Monster?
MrMetalmanRock Says:
May 11, 2012 - Well, I'm not sure when that picture was from, but he does look like Frank Oz when he was younger. Come to think of it, maybe it could be from the early 90's. And you know what, I think if Rick Lyon did do Cookie Monster, it would definitely sound like Trekkie. BTW, did you get my reply for one of your comments on the video, "Three Sides Now"? Check it out if you didn't.
