Title: Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond *Full Song*
Added: Sep 3, 2011
Author: RacingAccidents2
Duration: 26:12
Description:
All the parts to Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond".Lyrics:Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.Shine on you crazy diamond. Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.Shine on you crazy diamond. You were caught in the cross fire of childhood and stardom.Blown on the steel breeze.Come on you target for faraway laughter.Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine! You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.Shine on you crazy diamond.Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.Shine on you crazy diamond.Well you wore out your welcome with random precision.Rode on the steel breeze.Come on you raver, you seer of visions.Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!Nobody knows where you are, how near or how far.Shine on you crazy diamond.Pile on many more layers and I'll be joining you there.Shine on you crazy diamond. And we'll bask in the shadow of yesterday's triumph, and sail on the steel breeze.Come on you boy child, you winner and loser, come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine!

May 27, 2012 - So it can't be removed for copyright infringement. A semitone adjustment is the classic audio copyright beater. The classic video one is to reverse the image (mirror) it (basically so it has been modified in some way)

Otveqn Says:
May 27, 2012 - You`re right, the original is in G minor, this is G#

May 27, 2012 - Finally, something can be described as 'epic', without it being a massive misappropriation
oralboytoy Says:
May 27, 2012 - Seriously, f*ck Stairway to Heaven. How about 2112, or Close to the Edge, or this one? Heck, even Led Zeppelin made better songs than that. Their best are Achilles Last Stand and Since I've Been Loving You, but only real Zeppelin fans would know that.
TeleportTheDead Says:

May 28, 2012 - Led zeppelin -> Hard Rock/Metal (note: it was considered "Metal" on the 70's)Pink Floyd -> Progressive Rock/Experimental RockTwo great and totally different bands. can't compare them

saxfreak01 Says:
May 28, 2012 - Lol, yeah...right. Not knocking this track, which is very fine in many ways, but if Beethoven had written a 26 minute piece revolving around simple chords and the G minor pentatonic scale, it would be easily his least celebrated piece. Fur Elise is crap but listen to the symphonies and concertos etc. Nothing in rock music comes close to the technical complexity of that music.

rodsreel Says:
May 28, 2012 - Complexity has nothing to do with good music.Sounds like you've been taught music and not learned to listen or feel subtle changes in sound or texture in a natural way. If you get taught you learn someone else's music. If you read dots you play dots. This music is original by original musicians.
saxfreak01 Says:
May 28, 2012 - True, I overemphasized the complexity issue and I agree that it's not the be all and end all. Maybe it's more important to say that the music of Beethoven et al was full of invention and ideas and that often meant technical complexity/dexterity was required to fully realise those ideas.I was trying to give Spicy a bit of a reality check because his claim is silly and sounds borne of ignorance. I prefer 67-71 era PF but this is good. The band themselves would laugh at the beethoven comparison
TurboIce28 Says:
May 28, 2012 - Led Zeppelin also revolved around folk music. But you're right both are amazing bands.
