MuscleDad420 Says:

Apr 19, 2012 - The dead were on the bill too? That may explain why this bootleg sounds so good.

dawnadawn Says:

Apr 20, 2012 - My heart breaks for the music that died when Levon died, and passed into the eternal afterlife. I am sure he is now again making music on a grand scale, we not yet dead could never understand until we ourselves die and pass on to that spiritual realm.

MrTuckertucks Says:

Apr 24, 2012 - Thank you Levon Helm.........

MsLeen101 Says:

Apr 26, 2012 - you fool. The magic's in the fact that the music never dies.It may not be able to continue evolving the same, but there will always be SOMEONE to pick up where the great ones left off and continue the dream without swaying too far from the original intention, which was to bring peace and love to the masses through tunes.

dawnadawn Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - Thank you MsLeen101, I wasn't even thinking about how Levon's music will cary on into eternity. Yes Levon is dead and his body will turn back to dust where it came from. But his soul lives on into eternity, as does the music he made. Thank you again, your words help to remind me there will be, "SOMEONE to pick up where the great ones left off and continue the dream" I was not thinking straight as my grief over Levon's loss was my focus at the time I wrote the last comment.

sa65cn1 Says:

May 4, 2012 - This is an old song by The Who. True to form The Band adds a special touch. Miss you Levon.

2001spaceidiot Says:

May 5, 2012 - @sa65cn1 - this had been in the Band's repertoire before the Who recorded it. It was recorded by Marvin Gaye in 1964 and was written by Holland--Dozier--Holland. That's were the Band and the Who got if from.

UncleIrv Says:

May 7, 2012 - Funny you should mention the Dead and the Allman's, because I basically saw both those bands live the day after Levon died (Furthur and Allman Bros at Wanee Fest). They did a nice tribute to Levon.

MrBkf1 Says:

May 10, 2012 - So was I--great tributes from Jorma and Jack, Government Mule, and Bruce Hornsby too.

May 13, 2012 - Levon would hate you. Your so cool using a dead guys popularity to advertise your racist and moronic views. go to hell.

thinkingevil Says:

May 20, 2012 - Incredible pocket.

checkandraise1 Says:

May 25, 2012 - a superior talent indeed with the good fortune to surround himself within an unlikely eclectic group of musicians who made music history. there's absolutely not a chance in hell that The Band will ever happen again. thank heavens for all their recordings and The Last Waltz.
