Apr 9, 2012 - Holy Sloppers!
gearls Says:
Apr 9, 2012 - Oh and it is truly sad that this line is so littered with hangers and fixed draws. BOLTS WHERE YOU NEED THEM STRICTLY! I am far from establishing routes, but I really love and follow the old school ethic. Make it scary but safe. I understand this would be a feat from the ground up, but fer-christ-sake, 1/2 the bolts would have sufficed and you could defiantly place your own pro on portion of this route. Sport climbing is fun and has its place, but how much more bad ass would it be mixed?

Apr 11, 2012 - that's 72 :) absolutely!!!
Merchalot Says:
Apr 11, 2012 - It does look like a lot of those pin scars would take some decent gear. Not really fair for us to sit behind the computer and pass judgement, but I do agree with the principle. Local ethics and tradition dictate what is accepted in each area, but as a general rule, bolting a line is NOT COOL when it can be protected using gear. In my opinion, some things just shouldn't be bolted even if the gear is bad. Why can't we just accept that we can't always dominate nature? Humans are an arrogant species

Apr 25, 2012 - sharma ist fucking awesome!
godsp33dr Says:
Apr 28, 2012 - alex honolld could do this without a rope
MrDNBnDUB Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - you can't compare their styles of climbing, they're completely different. chances are honnold would probably have more problems with this route than sharma. it's all about your technique and what you're accustomed to.
karolis685 Says:
Apr 30, 2012 - Song: Stromba - Giddy Up
Weaponfire1 Says:
May 3, 2012 - alex honold is actually nowhere near as strong as sharma is in terms of physical climbing strength
TheBroTom Says:
May 4, 2012 - Yeah, you know that expert...
godsp33dr Says:
May 7, 2012 - doesn't change the fact that alex could do this with no rope. this guy can't even do it with one.
Weaponfire1 Says:
May 8, 2012 - Thats my point, this is too hard for alex honnold to do even with a rope, and did you not see chris sharma do it at the end of the video?
satle987 Says:
May 8, 2012 - no he isn't alex climbs free solo but not in the level that sharma climbs
paul0coronado0 Says:
May 10, 2012 - OMG 5:02 thats stupid... how can he do that and not fall! Man those anti gravity shoes he has...
wasupmahnicuh Says:
May 13, 2012 - how does he find a rope strong enough to hold the weight of those enormous steel balls of his?
TheSouthrunner Says:
May 17, 2012 - haha @godsp33dr you have no idea what youre talking about
TheSouthrunner Says:
May 17, 2012 - unless youre a troll. if thats the case, thats really funny. nice
SebzRadio94 Says:
May 20, 2012 - Why do people compare sharma and ondra and honnold and who else... the climbing community is peaceful. Maybe some climb better than others but no one is really fighting for who's better and who's the best climber.... so why should we?

gearls Says:
Apr 9, 2012 - Hey fool. Rock climbing, done properly, is much safer than driving a car, or walking in a city. The gear is virtually prefect. The only time people get hurt. Is, A. they place their gear wrong, and it fails as a result of human error. OR B. Natures gets you, which can happen anywhere. Unless of course you are sitting in front of your computer all day, AKA you. So you would never know. How about you go out and live your life and learn to appreciate the risk involved with feeling alive! SUCKA!
