Dec 3, 2010 - we dont get our rights from the constitution.. the constitution is the rule book for the federal government, and it lists the peoples inalienable rights, that could not be Touched by the federal government... the government is a corporation created by the people, and the costitution lists its limitations and duties...so when people talk about upholding the constitution, theyre talking about holding the government to its rules, because our rights certainly dont come from it
