May 11, 2012 - I'm betting she realized what an ICON Ann is...and I'm sure she was honored to be standing up there singing that song with HEART. I think she did great...hell yeah she was nervous whoe wasn't ..but I can't help but give her kudos for being there. She even got a thrill just as I did when Ann finally belted out some real notes...man i miss them...what a hell of band..ROCK ON HEART...

May 13, 2012 - Ann is so powerful and so moving, Carrie does not have the lung capacity to push her voice as far as Ann. Ann can do it an entire show and the entire tour. Going to see Heart for the 3rd time in September, the 2nd time was on my birthday and we were able to walk right up to the stage and look right up to them. No pushing or rudeness at all from the crowd.

May 16, 2012 - Carrie has one of the most perfect voices in music today, but, as you saw, she was in awe of the power of Ann's vocal abilities. She's not dumb, there is no way she could even try to upstage Ann Wilson on 'Alone', even if she could. That's called respect, something more of todays singers need, and too many wouldn't know if it walked up and knocked them on their Asses.

May 27, 2012 - does it have to be a comparison all the time? why cant artists sing each other's songs and not be compared to each other...i always thought it a complement and a sign of respect if another artist would cover another artist's song...so i dont think there is any attempt by carrie to upstage ann wilson at any time she sang this song...

May 27, 2012 - How right you are. Music is a joke now. Underwood has a very good voice but @ 2:35, it was Ann Wilson who blew the roof of of the building, not Underwood. Underwood could not have hits those notes. Despite all of her controversy, to me, Sinead O'Conner is the only female vocalist in rock who can be mentioned in the same sentance as Ann Wilson.

May 27, 2012 - Wrong. If you botherd to look at some of the other youtubes of Carrie singing "Alone" you'd know that she does in fact match Ann Wilson note for note...even the @ 2:35 that you mentioned.
