Dec 3, 2010 - thats inncorrect as well, if the ball is a forward pass then the receivers cant be blocking until the ball is caught. they didnt make contact until the ball was caught so it is a legal play.

cwm0221 Says:

Dec 3, 2010 - Ruining football in the north which wasnt much in the first place. Down here in Florida we play real football, i have never seen or even heard of a school in Florida that runs that. Its Smash mouth down here

mrfootballdog Says:

Dec 4, 2010 - Wide Receivers can legally block downfield on a Forward pass as long as the football is caught behind the line of scrimmage, as was the case at the 1-minute mark, a legal play.

mrfootballdog Says:

Dec 4, 2010 - Who is #11 on the video clip? Did that receiver go anywhere after high school to play college ball or is he still at Piedmont? He can flat out fly!

russb7591 Says:

Dec 11, 2010 - So basically this offense is if you have Offensive lineman that suck?

mrfootballdog Says:

Dec 11, 2010 - I am seeing spread OL sets with smaller type linemen and larger receivers out there. Wider sets and more speed

bigdaddy111058 Says:

Jan 26, 2011 - if you idiots knew anything about football, you would recognize elements of the singlewing, doublewing, and wing t. Go look up all these offenses and you will see how it all comes together. The idea of "two" quarterbacks is straight from the SW. Two motion wings, doublewing, jet motion, wing t. Why should the offense be static in its approach when the defense can move around at will? Offenses like this just challenge the defense to do its job--find the man with the ball. Nothing else matters.

mrfootballdog Says:

Jan 26, 2011 - Tell it like it is bigdaddy111058. Our head coach is exploring A-11 we have an army of receivers and backs and hardly any talent on OL coming up. I ditto your single wing and two qb looks from ages ago. Loving this A-11 big time.

austinpride33 Says:

Jan 30, 2011 - if u have little talent on the O-line and an army or receivers and running backs run the California spread or the east coast veer not this crap its just pathetic football and should never be allowed in the mainstream game

mrfootballdog Says:

Feb 2, 2011 - That Glide Shovel Draw action play is outstanding it was actually a forward pass due to the shovel pass incorporated after the play fakes.

sheldonspark Says:

Mar 21, 2011 - This is pretty creative and I dig it. I doubt it would work all that well at any kind of upper level but it's still fun to watch and I bet every practice these guys have is a blast. It's like watching a Boise State game where their coach has gone bat shit insane.

sheldonspark Says:

Mar 21, 2011 - I'm not that well read on football rules but would that be considered a crack back block at :45 from #7? Or are those legal still?

animus2001 Says:

Mar 23, 2011 - I have no problem with this offense. If I was a coach with a team with lesser talent per say I'd run a Diamond Pistol set. You could run variations of the flex-bone, wing-t, power I out of this set with ease. That allows you to play power football and finesse football through the act of deception. I really liked the direct snap to the wingback. I absolutely think an A-11 could work in the college game. Gus Malhzone at Auburn already implemented parts of it.

festdir Says:

May 6, 2011 - "run variations of flexbone, wing t, power i..." If you could, I think you would have a hard time claiming that you are coaching a team 'with lesser talent'."Gus Malhzone already implemented parts of [A-11]"How so? The basis of the A-11 offense (changing pass eligibility along the entire field, using the punt formation loophole) doesn't exist at the NCAA ranks.

mrfootballdog Says:

May 7, 2011 - in NCAA actual A-11 can only be used when it's obvious that a kick might occur. So that would limit uses to 4th down and extra points. Some teams have used A-11 such as Hawaii, Boise State, Oregon and USC, along with many others.

animus2001 Says:

May 7, 2011 - I said implemented parts of the A-11. Watch an Auburn highlight reel, you see WR's cutting across the field eerily similar to these vids. only diff is that auburn uses 1 qb per set. i doubt a college team can go all out a-11 though.

jibmonkey33 Says:

May 23, 2011 - i think this offense caters perfectly to teams with smaller offensive lines and very quick players. the only key factor is that you have to at least have a talented fast quarterback, runningback, and slot receiver. it is the perfect offense for an undersized line though.

mrfootballdog Says:

Sep 25, 2011 - the qb is a cannon with wheels, that kid can sling it and move all over the place. Looks like they have some tall athletic players at the outside receiver spots. I also like the tiny rb, he looks shifty. Good assortment of talent spread out to use.

a11offense Says:

Nov 11, 2011 - Hi Russ. This offense gives teams suffering from low numbers of linemen another option for success and works even better if you have very agile & versatile athletes who can operate in space playing the typical linemen positions.

a11offense Says:

Nov 11, 2011 - We have lots of teams running A-11 concepts in Florida, in fact our google analytics show Florida coaches are the 4th highest in terms of visitor rate. On the first play of this video we had 7 ineligible players in the game on offense, with our two starting linemen at RB & FB. They pretty much ran a smash mouth play out of an A-11 formation for a TD.

mrfootballdog Says:

Nov 11, 2011 - In your new A-11 pro league, will all of the offensive players be able to play virtually any position? If that is the case then I can see your new league becoming a hot ticket for the fans. I like the idea of a more complex pro football league, something different and the A-11 league is very interesting. Looking forward to it.

a11offense Says:

Mar 28, 2012 - Hi Mr. Football Dog, Thanks for your interest in the A-11. The idea of the new league is to take football back to its original rules of no numbering requirement for eligibility, but still having the eligibility by formation requirement with 7 men on the LOS. We believe that this one tweak of the rules will open up the game and feature versatile athletes at every position because there is a chance that any player can be eligible according to formation after any shift. Lots of new strategy!

a11offense Says:

Mar 28, 2012 - There are some fantastic examples of A-11 concepts being run in NCAA and at the Pro level on our Facebook Timeline page. Just search for "a11offense".

johndadrumman Says:

May 16, 2012 - I love the A11. 2 things. 1. I want to put some of this in my playbook. Is it too complex for 8th graders. and 2...Does drowning pool have to be in EVERY football highlight film? There are other heavy bands that would work lol
