Nov 24, 2011 - surely at 2.18 is WRONG, why are you mixing arteries with nerves ? shouldnt it be, instead of common coratid artery, it should have been the vagus nerve branching off into the recurrent larangeal nerve ??

Nov 24, 2011 - Respond to this video... Postganglionics from the SCG ride with arteries such as the common or internal carotid, just as the parasympathetic postganglionics ride with other nerves, i.e. the postganglionics from the Ciliary ganglion "ride with" the CN V(1) nerve

Nov 24, 2011 - Thanks but I really hate neuroanatomy =(I kinda half get it now after reading around. I just dnt get the following statement the "thryroid gland is innervated by post ganglionic fibres from the sympathetic nervous system of cervical ganglia"WTHECKKK is ganglia ? what is "post ganglionic fibres" and is it on about the larengeal nerve, if so, then that is WRONG because the larengeal nerve is from the vagus nerve which is parasympathetic nerveIf you could help that would be appreciated

Nov 24, 2011 - It would be best for you to get an anatomy book and read that. It should become more clear. The concept of ganglia and pre/postganglionic fibers is the crux of the nervous system. Once you understand how fibers "link" up at ganglia, you can then worry about how other things such as nerves and arteries are associated. Sympathetics and parasympathetics can innervate the same organ, giving a push and pull set of responses. Look up "thyroid anatomy medicine" on google.
