SSGreyAndi Says:
Feb 5, 2012 - @Kyuditsky It's not as exotic as ya might think... F on 6th string REMOVE 5th String 4th string (one of the reasons this tuning works and doesn't mess up yer ax is due to the removed strings-even though the strings are tuned up the loss of 2 strings creates same-or-less tension on neck most of my guitars relax into this tuning with slightly lower action than standard tuning) FAC and no 6th string so again F (1 note higher than standard) no 5th 4th D up to F G up to A B up to c no sixth FxFACx
SSGreyAndi Says:
Feb 6, 2012 - @ja3son No, Ronnie is a dude. Google Botswana guitar Ronnie and you'll see. Whatever about gender-Ronnie is beautiful and plays amazing guitar FxFACx 4 strings.
SSGreyAndi Says:
Feb 6, 2012 - @eddbuckpitt This is a 4 String tuning- x is used for missing 4th and 6th: FxFACx Tune 6th UP to F no 5th D up to F one octave above 6th/4th string G string UP to A B string UP to C and take off 6th string. Even though the notes are sharper/tension higher-the loss of 2 strings causes most of my guitars to relax into the tuning with lower action rather than neck bowing and raised action/tension. Try it--it's fun
SSGreyAndi Says:
Feb 6, 2012 - @eddbuckpitt FxFACx--x's are missing strings only use 4 strings-tunbe up from standard to get pitches no strings are dropped but because 2 are removed playing action is same or easier on all guitars I've put into this tuning
SSGreyAndi Says:
Feb 6, 2012 - @jerk1983 Tune your guitar to FxFACx. Xs are unused strings. REMOVE THEM. Tune UP to pitches-ie 6th E string up to F no A string D up to F G string UP to F B string up to C... no 6th string and you'll find these sounds rolling off your fingers
SSGreyAndi Says:
Feb 6, 2012 - @SSGreyAndi oops! I mean no FIRST E String... sorry Low to high- FxFACx 4 strings and sounds like a concert...
SSGreyAndi Says:
Feb 6, 2012 - @SuperLifesweet No, Ronnie is a dude
SSGreyAndi Says:
Feb 6, 2012 - @lukecharrison 4 strings FxFACx no 5th or 1st strings tune UP to altered pitches
PurpleGum94 Says:
