tstruss912 Says:
Mar 7, 2012 - If Chomsky hates the US, then why does he often praise it and why does he stay here. With his status as a top intellectual he could get citizenship in any European country, but he's still here. Explain that one, genius.
iasedu Says:
Mar 7, 2012 - He could not get citizenship in any European country, immigration laws are strict and followed. But to the point, Chomsky is not criticizing the US, or the US citizens, he is presenting his view on US policy. Chomsky live in a good neighbourhood , has a good job and is only faced with hatemail.

Mar 15, 2012 - Hi, iasedu. Thank you for the video.Could you upload the Q&A part of the lecture if you have it.
RSFO Says:
Mar 19, 2012 - You should always emphasise when a talk took place. Then you can add all other kinds of information below. It is very great that people upload Chomsky speaches, but how I hate it when I have to figure out when they took place.
elsargente Says:
Mar 21, 2012 - @tstruss912hes said many times that he still believes that america is the best country to live in, and that it is every american's duty to question the actions of their government as much as possible, in order to make sure our freedom isn't being stolen from us.
utofbu Says:
Mar 27, 2012 - this is dialectic. No more and No less. Very important to dislodge certain peoples embedded viewpoints within the status-quo, to show the weaknesses and possibly they will find out more and have arguments of their own. That is Dialectic. Not argument. Thanks Chomsky.
douchewizard Says:
Mar 29, 2012 - Does anyone know the date of this lecture?
AndroidPolitician Says:
Apr 1, 2012 - The best part is Chomsky addressed everything you accused Ad infinitum- Being "anti-American" or "anti-Israel" by criticizing policy is a totalitarian concept, no one calls french dissidents "anti-french" or "self-loathing french." - Most "terror" by definition is conducted by powerful states- Chomsky is no "relativist" he applies US standards on others to itself - He hates conspiracies and - States to the extent that they have power are "evil". The US has the most power right now.
megamarsvin Says:
Apr 23, 2012 - Youtube: "Artist: Noam Chomsky Buy "Combatting Terror" on:"Does that feel wrong to anyone?
rabbifilms Says:
Apr 28, 2012 - You can hear Chomsky almost say, "We [U.S.] are an off-shoot of Hitler.." 11:51 . Thought I should mention..not far from truth though..

grow2b Says:
May 14, 2012 - I hope this great man never dies--where would be without him. Where does he get his truth from? He must have really good research staff. Thank you Mr. Chomsky, thank you.
grow2b Says:
May 14, 2012 - Gees, aren't you limited. If I don't like the state of the world, where should I go? You love everything about your country--everything? You never complainted, commented, protested, or objected to anything?--Your life is perfectly perfectly fine! You should shut you mouth because by complaining about him, you must hate all people. You get it "genius"? You crawl out of your hole and you think the scope of your vision is the entire world. Absolute thinkers are absolutely stupid.
tstruss912 Says:
May 14, 2012 - I have no idea what you're talking about. I was defending Chomsky from an attack, nothing more.
DamiaanVDW Says:
May 17, 2012 - Hey, anyone know what year this lecture is from?
DamiaanVDW Says:
May 17, 2012 - Sure does. I would've expected Chomsky to be more open source about his books/recordings etc. I suppose the dude has to make a living, although I'm sure he makes more than a living.
megamarsvin Says:
May 18, 2012 - You'll notice there's no actual link to an online store there, seems Youtube just slaps it on there for anyone vaguely famous. I found a few places where you can buy this "song." For 99c. So please don't think I meant to imply that Chomsky is just another money grubber ;)
DamiaanVDW Says:
May 18, 2012 - Aha ok :) I still would've expected a more open source approach from him though regardless of this particularly case.
